Mitsubishi Triton models with and without a 360° camera use different harness layouts. Confirm the adapter configuration before applying power.
Double-check that all plugs are seated firmly so the head unit receives camera power and signal.
Audio, Radio & Antenna Hardware
Restore audio on vehicles equipped with a factory amplifier by confirming the trigger wiring and software configuration.
Hardware check
- Verify the AMP-C trigger cable is connected so the amplifier powers on with the head unit. On CAN bus vehicles this trigger is usually controlled by the decoder.
Software (CAN bus models)
- MyCar > Settings > Other Settings > Function Select > Amplifier
Software (non-CAN bus or aftermarket amplifier)
- CarSettings > General Settings > select Amplify
Play a test track to confirm sound once the settings are stored.
DAB+ delivers digital radio with improved audio quality and more stations.
Antenna placement
- Apply the antenna to the passenger side of the windscreen as instructed.
- Route the cable to the rear of the head unit.
- Connect it to the six-pin USB plug (see page 32 of the user manual).
Software
- Open the Play Store
- Download and install the DAB-Z player
Mount the supplied antennas behind the dash so they remain hidden while maintaining signal quality.
Placement order (top to bottom)
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi antenna
- GPS antenna (stick it to plastic, not metal, to avoid interference)
- 4G antenna (SIM card aerial)
The DAB+ antenna connects to the six-pin USB plug on the harness.
Install the supplied radio booster if FM reception is weak or inconsistent.
Hardware
- Connect the vehicle’s male antenna plug to the booster.
- Connect the booster’s male plug to the head unit.
- Attach the blue 12 V wire to an ACC power source.
Additional settings
- CarSettings > System Settings (Navigation Bar)
- Factory Settings (Password 16176699)
- Radio Setting > adjust FM Sensitivity
Retune the radio to confirm the improvement.
If the retractable antenna does not raise when the radio is switched on, confirm the power feed.
- Verify the power-antenna cable is connected to the ANT: Power lead (see page 31 of the user manual).
Enable the power-antenna output
- CarSettings > System Settings (Navigation Bar)
- Factory Settings (Password 16176699)
- Customized Settings > enable Radio antenna powered
The mast should extend immediately once the option is active.
Identify the fan plug before connecting the RCA harness to the head unit. Refer to the user manual (pages 31–32) for the illustrated routing.
Vehicle Integration & Wiring
Enable steering-wheel controls with the ignition switched to ON.
A) Non-CAN bus models
- All Apps > Steering Wheel Learning
- Press Start

The decoder is usually preconfigured. Verify the profile if any buttons are unresponsive:
- MyCar > Diagnosis > Car
- Select the CAN bus decoder name (printed on the module)
- Select the correct vehicle make and model
Ensure the decoder’s data cable is connected. If only a few buttons need remapping, adjust them in the MyCar app.
If the capacitive side buttons stop responding after a reset, recalibrate them.
- CarSettings > System Settings (Navigation Bar)
- Factory Settings (Password 1617)

Ford Ranger PX II and Mitsubishi Triton models use a split factory head unit. Unplug both the display and the main unit, then connect the adapter harness before powering on the system.
Ensure the plug carrying speaker power is transferred; the screen alone cannot power the new head unit.
Connectivity & Infotainment
Connect the head unit to the internet via Wi‑Fi hotspot or a dedicated SIM card.
Wi‑Fi hotspot (recommended)
- Android Settings > Network & Internet
- Connect to your phone’s hotspot
SIM card options
- Insert a data SIM directly into the head unit for stand-alone connectivity
- Ask your carrier about a dual-SIM or twin-SIM plan so incoming calls ring on both the head unit and your phone
- A data-only SIM works if voice calls are not required
Google Maps is pre-installed and works the same as on your phone.
Offline navigation
- Open Google Maps
- Select your profile icon
- Offline Maps
- Choose the region and download it
Change the default navigation app
- CarSettings > Navi Software Settings
- Navi Software Settings: Maps
- Select your preferred app (any installed app can be set as the default launcher)

If the Play Store blocks Netflix, open Chrome, search for “Netflix APK download” and install the APK manually.
Zlink5 manages both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Head-unit defaults
- Car Settings > Default Setting > select Car Play
USB pairing
- Connect the head unit to Wi‑Fi
- Open Zlink5 to initialise it
- Use a data-rated USB cable (look for the USB symbol)
- Plug your phone into the four-pin USB socket (the six-pin port is reserved for DAB+)
Wireless pairing
- Ensure the head unit is connected to Wi‑Fi and Zlink5 is open
- Enable the head unit hotspot (5 GHz preferred)
- Pair your phone with the head unit over Bluetooth and join the hotspot
- Open Zlink5. If prompted, complete the pairing inside your phone’s Android Auto or CarPlay settings
Tips
- Disable battery-saver modes and clear old Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi pairings if connections drop
- Older phones that do not support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto can still connect over USB
